Welcome to the White Lake Pro-Am Half! We are thrilled to host both professional and amateur racers at White Lake, North Carolina.
The White Lake Triathlon has a storied history, dating back to 1998 when Bill Scott initiated the event alongside Set Up Events' burgeoning race production in the 1990s. Thanks to Bill's pioneering efforts, we continue to enjoy the thrill of the race at Goldston’s Beach—our race headquarters and a family business with over a century of history.
In 2020, Tom Clifford, Bill Scott, and Aaron Kolk embarked on a collaboration to enhance the Half Iron event. Our goal was to create a competitive atmosphere and an athlete-centric long course race for amateurs.
We hope you find your race experience fulfilling and encourage you to spread the word about making the White Lake Half your go-to long course event each spring. Please ensure you read the entire athlete guide to be fully prepared for race day.
Best of luck, and race hard!

Numbering System:
- Run Number (Square Number): Wear this on the front of your body during the run portion only. If you don’t have a race belt, safety pins will be available at packet pick-up.
- Bike Number (Medium-Sized Number): This number displays your race number twice. Adhere it to your bike’s top tube, ideally near the front, using the adhesive backing provided.

Parking at Goldston’s is available on a first-come, first-served basis, with spots both inside the venue and directly across the street. These two primary parking areas are highlighted in yellow on the map below.
